Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Clinical Psychologists

Mindful Mental Health of Alabama (MMHA) mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of our therapists, partners, and clients in Alabama. We assist our clients in achieving their highest quality of life.

This position is ideal for a therapist wanting life work balance, we offer flexible hours either part-time or full-time and the ability to focus their time working with clients and providing excellent client care.

We make it simple – MMHA will provide you with referrals/clients, Therapist provide care to clients, MMHA billing specialists submit insurance claims, Therapists are paid as reimbursements come in.

MMHA provides onboard training for our therapist on policies, procedures and our electronic health records platform.

No nights, or weekends, unless you want to schedule them (you set your schedule) working hours are usually between 9-5, Monday – Friday. MMHA Therapists provide psychotherapy for older adults primarily in assisted living communities.  

To be successful, our therapists need to be capable of self-scheduling, conducting initial and ongoing evaluations, delivering individually focused therapies, encouraging family communication, producing timely, high-quality clinical documentation of client interactions and communicating and collaborating with community partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues
  • Aid individuals with various mental health issues
  • Implement and review treatment plans
  • Collaborate with additional treatment providers and client’s care team, when needed
  • Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner Requirements:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D/Ph.D) in state practicing required
  • If you do not have one of the above license types in good standing in AL, we cannot offer you a position.
  • Ability to access our Electronic Health Records platform via the internet (computer)

Other Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with older adults preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and community leaders
